Navigating the Different Reports
There are 5 types of reports in TRAY: Sales, Orders, Activity, Labor, Reservations, and Cash
Sales Reports:
Sales reports all use payment data to calculate the values in the reports. Payment data is any payments take from different tender types, i.e. cash payments, credit card payments, gift card payments, etc
Orders Reports:
Orders reports use item sales to calculate the values in the reports. For example, the number of products sold at their given cost would generate the value or quantity of a report
Activity Reports:
Activity reports show you who did what, where, when, and why. These reports generate historical data for any activity performed by a user on HQ or the POS
Labor Reports:
Labor reports use employee shift data combined with sales data to calculate wages, tips, and time entries
Reservations Reports:
Reservations reports show records of booked events and where / when they were booked
Cash Reports:
Reports used to calculate cash accounting and accountability
How to select a different reporting category?
In the Reports tab on HQ, the default report that is visible is the Sales report. To navigate to different reporting categories, you can use the Reporting Category Selector
When the Reporting Category Selector is pressed, it brings up the entire list of reports. The furthest left column indicates the reporting categories as defined above, and lists the corresponding reports to the right
The top row, next to the Reporting Category Selector, lists the reports in the current category of report selected. So for example, if you are currently viewing the "Checks" report then all of the Orders reports will be visible, and the Category Selector will then indicate what the current category of reports is
