To create a product, you must access the Menus
From the SITES tab on HQ, access your site, then from the left hand menu select the Menus tab. The Menu tab will be the first selection. From here you can view, add, edit, and delete menu items if you have all of those permissions.
There are also applicable permissions that grants a user the ability to just edit pricing or to just edit avaiability (editprice, editavailability)
1) To add a Product:
From the left hand menu, select Menus.
2) You will automatically be under the Menu tab. At this point you can either click the Add Product button or the large + button underneath the Modifier Groups tab. Either will take you to the same pop up.
3) The product creation screen appears. This is where you can create and modify a single menu product. Below is a basic example of a product.

| DESCRIPTION | The description of the product. This would display on a kiosk |
| PRICE | The base price of the product |
| CALORIE COUNT | The total calorie count of the product as displayed on a kiosk |
| CATEGORY | The product category, chosen from the list of available categories |
| PLU/GTIN | A unique identifier that can be used for enterprise management, as well as external integrations |
| OMNIVORE | N/A |
| COOK TIME | If the settings "hold orders based on cook time" is enabled in the site settings tab, this will delay the fire time to the KDS based on the total cook times of the items on a check |
| DB ID | The TRAY generated database ID |
| PRODUCT VISIBILITY | Determines if the product is visible on the POS or not. The "86 item" checkbox will mark the item as out of stock on the POS, as well as on external integrations if applicable. The color coding on an item in the menu indicates its availability. GREEN = visible, RED = Invisible, ORANGE = Out of Stock. |
4) Hit Save, and you will now find your newly created product in Unassigned Products.
5) Now you need to assign the product to its respective menu. Click on the new product's check box and select the Menu Assignments button. Select the correct menu from the drop down and hit Save. Your product will now appear in the menu section you selected.
(Alternatively to step 5 - You can go into the Sandwiches menu and hit the "+" button to assign products to that specific menu.)
6) You have now successfully created a product. To make future edits to the product (such as updating the price, adding a modifier group, etc.), click on the product. This will bring up the Product creation screen from step 4.
Bulk Editing Products
- To make changes to multiple items at the same time. Click on the check boxes of the products you want to edit, or hit the check box at the top to select all of the items in the menu section you're currently in. Then click on the pencil symbol to edit all the selected products at once.
- For example, to add a modifier group, or multiple modifier groups to many products at once, you could follow the steps below (note that bulk adding modifier groups will overwrite any previously assigned modifier groups)
