Device Settings are templates for the different configurations that can be applied within the KDS and POS application. These settings can be build into different templates at the site, and devices can moved from template to template easily. These templates can also be imported from other sites that you have access to, so that if you already have a configuration exactly like you want it, you can copy that to your new location.

Device Settings Configuration
Device settings can be accessed by going to your site and clicking on the "Hardware" tab and then clicking on "Device Settings". From there you will always see a device settings template called "(Site name) - Default Settings". If your site is configured underneath a Node it will inherit the Default Settings from the Node. Otherwise it will set all of the defaults to the standard defaults. You can create new device setting templates by clicking on the "Add Setting" button.
Edit Device Settings
Once you press "Add Setting" it will bring up the screen above. This is the same screen you will see if you press "Edit" next to an existing template. Here you can name your template, give it a description, and choose which devices will be part of this template. When you have finished editing, you can either hit "Save" and publish site settings later, or hit "Save and Publish" to publish those settings to the assigned devices in the template.
Import Device Settings from Another Venue
If you already have an existing device settings template in another site that is set to you liking, you can import that configuration from that site instead of rebuilding it.
- First select the venue that you want to import the template from.
- Then select which template you are currently importing
- Provide a name for your new template
- Enter a description if necessary
- Select your devices
- "Import", or "Import and Publish" to make the changes apply immediately
